This goal is achieved through straightforward tutorials that provide training on how to provide music lessons using the Whacky Wizards apps.
These lessons should be short and engaging — more like “Brain Breaks” than formal music classes. Ideally, they should last about 20 minutes.
Every tutorial starts with a brief but comprehensive video that outlines learning outcomes and provides tips on how to present these concepts to your students. Tutorials also include transcriptions of the video text, additional lesson ideas, curricular connections, and downloadable resources associated with the tutorial topic.
There is no ‘right way’ to use the included tutorials, rather, the intention is for teachers to use what they have learned to structure their music instruction time in a way that suits their needs. Nonetheless, we we are in the process of developing a series of tutorials that will provide teachers with some specific paths to get them started, with options for grades 1-4.
